Struggling with camp showers? The WaterPORT Hands-Free Sink & Shower Kit solves the problem of dirty hands and limited mobility. This review covers its features and real-world use.
Quick answer
The WaterPORT Hands-Free Sink & Shower Kit solves the common camp shower problem of needing a free hand to operate the water flow, offering a true no-hands camp shower experience.
Why a no-hands camp shower matters
Typical camp showers require you to hold a nozzle or press a button, which is difficult when you need to scrub dishes, wash your hair, or clean muddy gear. The WaterPORT Hands-Free Sink & Shower Kit addresses this directly by using a foot pump or gravity-fed system, allowing you to keep both hands free for the task.
Trade-offs to consider
This kit is designed for use with a WaterPORT water tank (sold separately). If you don't already own one, the total cost is higher than some all-in-one portable showers. Also, the 'hands-free' operation assumes you have the foot pump or a compatible water source; if you're using it as a gravity shower, you still need to set up the tank at height.
Diagnosing your camp shower problem
- Symptom: You need to wash dishes or yourself at camp, but you keep getting water everywhere and can't easily control the flow with one hand.
- Likely cause: Using a standard camp shower that requires manual pumping or a handheld nozzle, leaving no free hand for the actual washing or cleaning task.
- Corrective action: Switch to the WaterPORT Hands-Free Sink & Shower Kit. It connects to a WaterPORT tank and uses a foot pump or gravity feed, letting you control water flow without using your hands. This is the portable camp sink solution you need. If you don't have a WaterPORT tank, you'll need to purchase one separately. If you prefer an all-in-one unit, this kit may not be the best choice.
- Stop or choose another option: If you need a standalone shower that includes its own water reservoir, consider a different product. The WaterPORT kit is an accessory for the WaterPORT tank system.
